HIGH SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENT
SCHOLARSHIP-
Each year West Virginia Junior College offers up to twenty (20) partial tuition scholarshipss to area high school seniors. Sixteen of the scholarships are $1250 tuition scholarships, and the remaining four are $2500 tuition scholarships for a total of $30,000 awarded to high school seniors. Scholarship recipients may apply the scholarship to tuition in any associate degree offered at the college. Two of the scholarships may be awarded to a qualifying member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Scholarship recipients must enroll and begin classes no later than the Fall term of the academic year beginning after the student graduates high school.

STEPHEN A. CALLEN HONORARY
SCHOLARSHIP-
Four scholarships in the amount of $2500 each may be awarded to high school seniors annually. Mr. Callen founded the WVJC system on April 1, 1958, wishing to provide academic and technical training to the future workforce of West Virginia. His dedication and vision has not only prepared thousands of graduates for career related positions, but has supplied the State of West Virginia with a technically competent employee base. High school seniors desiring to apply for this scholarship must submit an application and a 200 word essay describing why these chose West Virginia Junior College and how they plan to use their associate degree earned to be a productive member of their community. April 30 of each school year is the deadline for this scholarship.

EXAMINATION SCHOLARSHIP- Three scholarships in the amount of $1250 will be awarded on the basis of annual scholarship examination. The scholarship examination will be given throughout the school year on a prearranged data. WVJC will send annoucements to area high schools and the media announcing the date each year. Dealines to apply to take the scholarship examination will be April 30 of each year. Applications for these scholarships may be obtained from WVJC or from guidance counselors at area high schools.
